Music Director Elizabeth Schulze and the Maryland Symphony Orchestra (MSO) take you on a tour of musical history spanning two centuries. This concert, which showcases the artistry of the MSO's musicians, features Bach's Brandenburg Concerto No. 3 and Haydn's Symphony No. 45 -- the "Farewell Symphony." Schnittke's Moz-Art a la Haydn is a humorous nod to those two great eighteenth century masters. Also included on the program will be Prokofiev's Symphony No. 1 "Classical."
